Rick has over 30 years of diverse experience in public accounting, with an emphasis on taxation, estate planning and wealth preservation. He also handles international taxation matters. Rick specializes in working with real estate development, manufacturing and distribution and closely held businesses including medical practices and law firms.
Active in a number of organizations, Rick has served on the State and Local Committee as well as the Closely Held and S Corporation Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, of which he is a member. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nassau chapter of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners. Rick has lectured and performed as a discussion leader in State Society seminars on a variety of topics including tax planning for New York State corporations and its shareholders. Rick previously served as treasurer of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. He has also volunteered in various civic activities including youth sports programs.
Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Rick’s experience included working as a tax manager and later a tax director with mid-sized CPA firms in Manhattan. He received his BA in Accounting from Queens College (City University of New York) and his MS in Taxation from CW Post College (Long Island University). He is also licensed as an agent for life, accident and health insurance.
